The IQE Group is an Industrial Group from the chemical sector, integrated by three companies, Industrias Quimicas del Ebro, S.A., IQESIL and DESILSA.

Industrias Quimicas del Ebro is the parent company of the Group and its headquarters are located in Zaragoza. It started its activity in 1958 producing sodium silicate and metasilicate at its former facilities in the centre of Zaragoza. In 1977, it moved to the Malpica Industrial Estate, just a short distance from the city. This move marked a turning point in the trajectory of the company, leading to its expansion, which has lasted for more than 50 years. It has diversified its product range, markets and applications, and has become a benchmark supplier both on the domestic and international scenario, in sectors such as detergency, ceramics, construction, water treatment, paint, electrodes, paper, and others.

IQESIL, S.A. was founded in 1988 and its headquarters are also located in the Malpica estate, next to the parent company, IQE. It started its activity by producing precipitated silica and it has gradually expanded its facilities to manufacture a large range of silicas, apart from aluminium silicate. Its main markets are the tyre, rubber, animal feed sectors, among others.

DESILSA (Detergentes y Derivados de Silicatos Alcalinos, S.A.) is the subsidiary of IQE, situated in Barcelona and it was founded in 1961. Since then it has been carrying out its activity, producing a large range of liquid silicates to attend to the markets in Catalonia of sectors such as detergent, water treatment, board and textile, etc.
